My computer is out of commission for an unknown amount of time…terrifying!!!
New husband alert.
Saw him playing the theme to Zelda on the accordion in the Union Square station. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
So like, right now for example. The Haitians need to come to America. But some...

The Life and Death of Alan Carton
The feed’s creator was Alan Carton, a then-21-year-old Vancouver film student who worked on the site in total anonymity. On January 5, @diditleak went dark. Its creator’s name is only being revealed now because on January 16th, after a long hospital stay, Alan Carton died. He was 23. In his final days, Carton worked on @diditleak from his hospital bed, posting tips about the new...
Your Life in an Album Title
This is a simple exercise, but might take some thinking. What album name best sums up your life?
I was going through a stack of newly arrived CDs yesterday and came across one from a band called Eighteen Individual Eyes. The group’s new EP (which is worth checking out) is Slightly Frightened, Mostly Happy. It immediately struck me that the title completely sums up my entire life.
I...

Zac Posen for Target look book leaked →
Drops April 25. I love the raincoat. I don’t know if I can justify paying $50 for a raincoat. I also like the tuxedo outfit. I’m uncertain about who they are targeting (couldn’t resist). Price points are similar to Anna Sui and Alexander McQueen, but it’s very youthful and trendy. It’s too expensive for teens to pay for themselves…
I was definitely more excited...
The Drums/Surfer Blood/The Depreciation Guild
So the Drums, near as I can figure it, consist of four pretty-boy villains from cheesy ’80s movies who’ve banded together to play twangy, relentlessly peppy new-wave with a canned backing track of overzealous synths and robust whistling, featuring a half-pouting/half-preening frontman astride two jaunty guitar players, one of whom occasionally indulging in tambourine playing of such...
I feel sick...
And it has nothing to do with all the delicious yet disgusting food I ingested with my great co-workers. I feel like I need to stop letting people dictate my future and decide for myself what I want to do and go for it.
I just don’t want to think about it…I’m terrified.
Memories are what warm you up from the inside. But they’re also what tear you...

RIP Jay Reatard
Jay Reatard, born Jimmy Lee Lindsey Jr. of Memphis, died early this morning. The cause of death isn’t known as of 4:25 p.m. today, though his former label, Goner Records, is reporting that he died in his sleep.
Reatard has been making music for a long time; in fact, he sent his first tape to Goner when he was just 15. He recently signed to Matador Records, which released Watch Me Fall...

Arrested Development the movie to start filming... →

The much-discussed but as of yet unrealized feature film version of the axed comedy series will begin filming this year, says one of its stars.
Will Arnett, who played the Segway-riding Bluth brother Gob, tells ComingSoon.net that “Arrested Development” the movie is a definite.
“We are working on the movie right now, yeah … We don’t have a completed script yet,...
Carrie Brownstein's music predictions for 2010
Last year, I hired a Portland psychic to help make sense of the future of music. If you want to see how many of her predictions came true, you can watch the video here.
This year, I’m in New York City. And, even though there’s a soothsayer on every street corner, I have yet to build up the nerve to invite him or her into my apartment so that I might inquire about The Magnetic...
Tim Gunn on HIMYM
A pleasant surprise! Random but pleasant!
Son of Rambow
Loved the movie. It was heartwarming and fun. I wish I was a kid again…also, Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl makes an appearance. What?
Rude
Now, I understand that the floors in this apartment are paper-thin…but seriously…accusing us of being illegal tenants or not understanding English when approaching us about our noise, that’s just plain rude. HE WANTS US TO CARPET OUR ENTIRE APARTMENT, BECAUSE EVEN MOVING AROUND THE APARTMENT ANNOYS HIM. WHAT THE FUCK?
We should switch floors with our neighbors upstairs, so he...
Romeo and Juliet
Nature Theater of Oklahoma presents this meta-theatric re-interpretation of Shakespeare’s ubiquitous tragic romance, created by calling random people and asking them to recount the play’s entire narrative from memory and patching together their disparate versions.

I watched this Friday night with Tamara. It was awkward, and of course, hilarious. I had the opportunity to...
The Brothers Bloom
Adrien Brody and Mark Ruffalo in The Brothers Bloom
Director/screenwriter Rian Johnson’s first oeuvre, Brick, was a heavy, suspenseful film noir. With The Brothers Bloom, director/screenwriter Rian Johnson attempts a lighter fare. This whimsical, tender film is steeped with Wes Anderson’s influence, which is possibly one of the reasons why I liked this film. Anderson would never...
